Since its foundation in 1934, Lactimaf has aimed to be a benchmark in the production and distribution market of cured and processed cheeses.

Its commitment to innovation and improvement of processes and products has brought about important investments in infrastructures, equipment, and human resources training. Lactimaf has implemented a Food Quality and Safety Management System based on the methodology laid down by the Codex Alimetarius/HACCP standards, having achieved certification by the internationally recognized FSSC22000 standard in 2020.

Our Food Safety Policy thus reflects the set of strategic guidelines (Mission, Vision and Values) and intentions assumed by Management regarding the safety of its processes and products. It must be appropriate and put into practice by all employees.

Our Food Safety Policy intends to be an important tool towards achieving our vision and is based on the following principles:

1. Establish as a priority that the products supplied are consumer safe, committing ourselves to identify, assess and control food safety hazards and risks by complying with the requirements stipulated by the Codex Alimentarius;

2. Provide the necessary training to our employees while encouraging the development of their skills;

3. Implement and continuously improve communication and the Food Safety Management System according to the normative references defined as strategic, increasing the food safety culture and ensuring compliance with all contractual, legal and regulatory requirements, and others which the company may deem applicable to its sector of activity and which may contribute to the sustainability of its actions.

Management defines the Policy, ensures continuous compliance with the guidelines contained therein and its understanding and dissemination to all LACTIMAF employees, as well as its availability to all interested parties. 

Management also commits itself to providing the administrative and technical conditions and resources necessary to implement, maintain, and update the Policy periodically.
